Veneers in Turkey: porcelain or composite, how many visits and what to ask
Veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of the teeth to change their colour, shape or alignment. Porcelain veneers usually need 2–3 appointments over 5–7 days in Istanbul. Ask in writing whether you will receive veneers or crowns – many “Turkey teeth” smiles are in fact crowns, which require much more tooth to be removed.

Key facts
Typical ranges for a healthy adult (sources at the bottom of the page). Your surgeon or dentist sets your own plan after examining you.
What it is
The dentist removes a thin layer of enamel (sometimes none), takes impressions or a digital scan, and bonds custom-made porcelain or composite shells. Porcelain veneers are more durable and stain-resistant; composite veneers are cheaper and repairable but wear and stain sooner.
Techniques
Porcelain / E-max veneers
Lab-made, durable, natural-looking; usually 10–15 years with care.
Composite veneers
Built directly on the teeth; quicker and cheaper but less durable.
Minimal-prep / no-prep veneers
Little or no enamel removed; not suitable for every case.
